With the current rise trend of obesity among Malaysians, we have been assigned to address this problem in our community as a project for our community placement. Before the semester begins, we have been divided into six groups.
From this moment, the five beautiful and sweet ladies were fated to be together in this journey.

On 17 September 2020, the formation of group chat for
 our medium to communicate has been created. 
On this day too, we chose our leader to lead our path.
Aren't you curious on how we appointed our leader? 😏

Don't worry our leader is a dedicated person, 
who is willing to do anything for us😘
  
After that we have been assigned with our theme which is Sugar Intake.

We began to search for relevant materials and information 
in order to conduct this program with helpful and effective intervention.

This was our first online meeting, we decided to share our insight and ideas 
for this program. In this meeting, we discussed numbers of interventions
and we also tried to figure out the challenges that we might face while
running our program. 

Input from first meeting:

💛 Proposed interventions consisted of talk, coaching and challenge.
💛 Each type of intervention included many kinds of activities.
💛 Expected challenges and outcomes for each of activities.
💛 Organization of working committees.
💛 Division of work for preliminary proposal.

After conducting the first meeting, we tried to reflect on 
how to improve our proposed intervention to be more beneficial 
and easier for community to achieve deeper understanding.

After completion of preliminary proposal, we attended the
meeting with our lecturers. During this meeting, our first proposal
presented by mainboard of the community placement.
Upon hearing propose program that will be conducted, 
our lecturers asked several matters of concern and 
briefly explained on overview of our placement.

During this meeting, our assessors highlighted
that they want us to try our best in this placement
in order to develop Communication Skills
as preparation before going to clinical 😊

Because of this, we came up
with our plan to present
our content in the form of videos 😁
Since this would help us
to enhance our Communication Skills.

This meeting was one of the most important meeting that 
painted our journey to enter preparation phase for
community placement. 

In this meeting, we improvised the interventions that will be used
as modules for our program. 
After that, we decided on person that will 
be in charge for different activities.

During this time, we have decided to accept that our team members
could not be together when our program was running.
This was because some of our group members lived in 
area where RMCO implemented.
However, we remained positive and believed 
the wisdom behind all the challenges and difficulties..
because every cloud has a silver lining 🌤️🌈

This meeting was to finalize all the details of proposed activities 
as well as updating our progress in preparation.
During this meeting too, we reviewed our program timeline.
We also included Sweet Chit-Chat to fill up the timeslot
with no activity in addition to share more information to participants.


Input from third meeting:

💛 80% of posters and infographics were already completed.
💛 Materials to use for first week intervention already in progress.
💛 Divided the topics for Sweet Chit-Chat session.
💛 Arising matters were addressed and discussed.
💛 Budget for prized were finalized.
💛 Adjusted the affected intervention due to RMCO.


During this meeting period, which was a week before,
some of us were supposed to return to our hostel😔
However, due to RMCO implementation 
to all states except for 3 states, all of us were not be able to go back😭

That's it, this was the journey we faced together.
We were far apart from each other.
But we still managed to support each other
even though it was only through the medium of
electronic devices.  

There were a lot of things affected,
this included our plan to conduct live talk at the hostel, 
filming supermarket stroll 
and interviewing the public.
Nonetheless, we managed to came up with solution
in order to deal with the issues
and resumed the proposed activities as planned.

During this week, we proofread and examined the materials 
that will be used during interventions.

✅ Discussed assigned topics with members to improve our understanding.

Everything is hard,
Before it is easy.

During the preparation time, we have learnt a lot of things.

💗There was time when we were not in favorable position,
As our program were on second session, other group from session one
prone to share our contents. Despite that, we tried our best
to ask program manager to remind others for the benefits of all.

💗In preparation of the program, we learned to become more creative.
As participants have their own commitment which sometimes
they have no time to read all the information given, 
so we decided to make our informative messages short 
and also deliver our information in the form of videos. 
By doing so, not only they can watch it during their free time 
but also can play it when they are driving, cooking or jogging. 
Besides, through the videos which were full of 
well explained facts, pictures and examples, 
we hope that all the information are clear and 
can be easily understood by the participants and public.

💗We also learn to try reduce each other workload
and divide the task fairly.
As our member Farah was a main committee
for publication and promotion,
we divided most of the poster and teaser to
Maisarah and Iznie.

💗 We also would help each other if
we experience some difficulties during preparation of modules.

DAY 1 (24/11/2020)


After preparing for almost 3 weeks, the first day
of our program has finally arrived 😣
We were excited and nervous, pleased and anxious, 
mixed all in one.
It would not be right to not acknowledge our worries.
But 😍 by hook or by crook, we will execute this program with success 😆

This is the night before, our pc reminded us
for upcoming day. All the best for all of us 😊

In the morning, we warmed up by introducing ourselves in the group
with participants (mixed feelings😣).
We were excited to meet our participants!

It is the second day of our program,

It was unbelievable that we have reached this far

As we were lacking in so many aspects, we tried to improve ourselves.

There were lots of things we learned through the first week of our intervention.

💗 We learned to be more responsive.
Since, the medium used not a direct interaction, the delay of communication
became barriers for our communications with participants. 
Our leader, play an important role in reminding us to be more responsive
when dealing with participants. This is because, being more responsive
would help us to connect with participants better.

💗 Another valuable lesson we could learn was being proactive.
As we received lots of questions, we had to push ourselves 
to be actively answer the questions in short period of time.
This help us to work under pressure in right manner.

💗 In this situation, as we worked as a team, 
we learned to rely on each other. We realized that being in discussion
in deciding or answering the participants questions,
would help us better in relaying the messages for them.
As a quote, two heads better than one 😉
We were able to face the obstacles by helping each other.

💗 We also reflected on ourselves to be more apologetic.
As we should not be embarrassed when making mistake,
instead we should admit the mistake and correct it,
This happen when we did mistake, we quickly tried to correct it,
as we did not want participants to get misinformation.

💗 During this week, we faced obstacles when we
have to delay the live session to the next day. This was because of
bad weather during night, we took a quick measure to change
the live to the morning next day. That was one of the
best quick decision we've made during the program
even though that was quite risky since we already announce
the live session date earlier. Despite that we tried our best
to spread the new date and get help from our friends to spread too.
Luckily, our participants and public got informed.

💗 Due to delay of the live session, we were short
of  module for the supposed date. However, we were able
to come up with another simple module which
was a game to fill in the slot. The participations
of the game were quite good and some
people who rarely communicate through the chatroom also joined. 

💗 By went through the first week of intervention,
we realized we still lacking a lot in this dietetic and nutrition field.
We reflected on how little our knowledge were.
We should learn more to increase our knowledge,
as we have to equip ourselves with knowledge before went through the clinical practice.
 
As the days of the program continued, 
We learned many things throughout everyday,
We tried our best to improve ourselves,
As life is the process of learning,
We would always learning to be better,
Cause no one is perfect,
That is on ourselves to try as much as we could.

For this week, we have used a difference approach.
Since the first week, we focused more on theory based and coaching,
In this week, we would focus more on participation from participant
as well as deliver more information related.



DAY 1 (06/12/2020)

During this final week,
There were still a lot of thing that we could reflect on.


💗 When starting the challenge, our participations were
quite a little.  However we did not give up and
try to come up with many ways to encourage participations.
Luckily, the participations after that were increasing.

💗 During the challenge, we and participants
were actively sharing information and tips related to sugar consumption.
Throughout this practice, we realized how sharing
with each other would help us to grow closer.
We became more open towards each other.

 💗 During this challenge too, we realized how much
our efforts were paid off as participants could
practice on what we've shared during the first week.

💗 Healthy snack challenge was one of our
intervention we were proud of. As this challenge came out
because of participants' interest.
Through this challenge we were able to explore
participants potential to create a healthy snack
which helped them became creative and innovative with recipes.

💗 Being appreciative really opened our eyes.
As throughout the challenge, we never miss to praise every participations.
We could see how much the appreciation could motivate
and encourage people in committing to one thing.
Aside from that, they felt their efforts were appreciated
which help them to boost their confident.

With end of these,
We would never stop learning and improving ourselves,
The real life journey just about to begin,
